Stamped Baby Shower Pocket Invite
This is an invitation that I created for my sister-in-law’s baby shower!
The main invitation
Cut one piece of 8.5 x 11 piece of green cardstock in half. Put one piece aside. With the second piece trim off about 2.5 inches, this will become your pocket. Place a line of adhesive along 3 sides of the pocket and attach to the main invitation, creating your complete invitation. I used a piece of patterned paper as trim, you can use ribbon if you would prefer.
Invitation Inserts
I included 2 insert pieces, but you can place as many as you would like. The main insert was created on a 4x6 piece of cardstock that was fed thru my printer to print the invitation on. I then matted that with a 4.25 x 6.25 piece of purple cardstock. The smaller poem insert was created on a 3x6 piece of cardstock that was fed thru my printer to print the poem on. I then matted that with a 3.25 x 6.25 piece of pink cardstock.
Decoration
The image of the pregnant girl on the front of the pocket was stamped on a 3.5x2 piece of cardstock, and was matted on a 4x2.5 piece of purple cardstock. The image is from www.stampingbella.com. I stamped her in black, and then colored her in with coordinating markers.
It took a lot of time to do, but the result was worth it. My sister-in-law and all of her shower guests were impressed!
